Nokia has officially rolled out the Nokia 8.1 Software Update with a June 2021 Android Security Patch for the device. The update has been confirmed at least in Egypt and India as per the Nokia 8.1 users.
Nokia released the July 2021 Android Security Patch Update for Nokia 7.2 and Nokia 8.3 5G this month, but the Nokia 8.1 Software Update has not been given the July 2021 but the June 2021 Android Security Patch.
The news of the latest Nokia 8.1 Software update was confirmed by the Nokia 8.1 users on Twitter. As mentioned above, India is one of the regions to receive the update.

The update is based on Android 11 as the Nokia 8.1 has already received the major Android 11 update. And the size of the update is 40.73 MB.

The Nokia 8.1 was released with an Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box and has received two major OS updates with Android 10 and 11.
As per Android One program Nokia is committed to offer 2 major OS updates with 3 years of security patches to its devices
Hence, it is NOT eligible for the upcoming Android 12 update and Android 11 was the last major update on the device. But it will continue to receive Security Patches this year.
The Software Update comes with June 2021 Android Security Patch which is currently rolling out in India and Egypt. And, it is expected to reach all the users soon.
Once it’s available on your device, you can head over to Settings >> About Phone >> Software Update section to update your Nokia 8.1 with the June 2021 Security Patch Update.
