OnePlus 9 software update:

OnePlus had launched the New OxygenOS 12 for OnePlus 9 with C.39 Build with fixes to several bugs & issues that were reported on the previous update, this is a Hotfix for devices that were already running on android 12. This update also brings the latest December 2021 Security Patch.

After updating to OxygenOS 12, they were facing several bugs and issues post which they corrected the bugs and launched the updated version. The updated version solved various issues that the users were facing.

The updated version is aimed at solving issues relating to mobile data,  phone notifications not being visible, freeze issues, some display problems, etc. Additional features such as the auto-fill feature in Chrome and the temporary lack of access to the Ultra HD 48M / AUX camera on GCam were also corrected in the updated version.

How long will it get updates?

As this is the first major android upgrade the OnePlus 9 is getting, It still has two more major android build that is Android 13 & Android 14 respectively. Current OS Android 12 with OxygenOS 12 as of December 2021.

The OnePlus 9 will receive three years of major OS updates and four years of Security updates.

Therefore, Android 12 will be the first major OS update on this device and it is also eligible to be on the Android 13 and Android 14 update list as well.
